Are You a Carer?

Do you look after a friend or relative who can not look after themselves? If you have answered yes then your probably a carer and help is available.

If you are please let us know - we may be able to help you

Vassall Medical Centre is not only seeking to better inform all our carers but also to identify those who may not consider themselves a carer but are.

Working with a patient carer and Patient Participation Group member we have produced a Carers Pack and set up a carers peer support group (set up from feedback at the Carers Month in February 2017* see Previous Events page). You can download the Carers Pack by clicking here.

Additionally there is now a new scheme call "The Lambeth Carers Card", working in partnership, Carers’ Hub Lambeth and My Social are currently developing the new Lambeth Carers Card scheme. The situation with Coronavirus means they need to delay launching the scheme in full, however, they want to offer carers early access to online resources that may be of help during this difficult time. You can find them at .

Caring for someone can be a full-time job, but it's essential that you take time out for yourself too. Read our guide to accessing breaks and respite.
